As has been said by a few ........ The best car is the one which suits you. I can't get on with the BJ4WE and it's clones, others go very well with it.

If we are talking the best car for the average driver I'd say the things to look out for are;

how neutral it is with a box stock set up -- more neutral the quicker you'll have it how you want

how adjustable out of the box -- more adjustment means more potential to get it how you want

how strong it is -- more time driving less time working on it

maintenance levels -- most people don't want to be working on the car all week

what is spares availability like -- easier to get spares = more time driving, less on the phone / net

When you consider all the above there is no one car that is "ideal".

Default pie and rc cars

(sorry for being a noob) but why would anyone eat pie when they can have fish and chips????

Do shaft drive cars in 4wd drive buggys (such as the x10) suffer from torque steer (i.e. the motor is so powerful that it tries to force the drive train to revolve around it) as the motors you guys run like 5.5's must have this effect... or does the slipper prevent this completely??

Torque steer is only really a problem in touring cars, off road you wont notice it.

If we had smaller/lighter wheels & tyres, then it would, but the rotation of our 4 heavy wheels & tyres at speed overpowers any torque steer effect from the motor directly.

I have to say that for spares availability, cost, spec and handling out of the box, the B44 looks ace! Is also has the servo saver and slipper clutch which the BJ4 does not... so...

Thats my two cents, and I drive a XX4 and am unsponsered.

Although I have to say that for most peeps at club level, a B4 would be easily capable of beating others with 4wd cars depending on the driver of course!

If my theory is correct, I wonder what Pidge's obsession with wearing hats over his hair will do to future results??

Maybe an exception to the rule?

What if you had 'an amazing doo', then put a pie on your head, then put a hat on top of that at a funny angle?

Gotta be a winner. You hear what I'm sezzin'?

A pasty is a poor mans pie, so would maybe work a little but not as well.

It is possible that different pies could enhance different characteristics of an rc car. It could be a whole new world of tuning options.

I think we need the set-up man Elvo onto this.......

Pidge,

Do you think AE/JConcepts would sponsor or make a pie themselves?

Branded pie.

Castle street if you know where that is. Up the hill, and opposite side of the road from the Fez club.
