has anyone bought any gear abroad im after a cheaper transmitter and can get a sanwa m12 for about £250 but dont know if i will gef extra charges

Depends on how abroad you are talking.
outside the eu, you might get extra charges, inside the eu, you won't

If you buy from RCMart they do not add value to your shipping thus you don't get charged import duty. I pondered the same question a while ago. The only thing that changed my decision to buy in the UK was for warranty reasons.
