It does not appear as a device in the my computer screen.
Mine didnt show up as a device either i think. The software is downloaded as a .rar file so you will need to use winzip or something similar to unzip it and run the software

Yea by the sounds of it you haven't got the software installed, the software is in that zipped up .rar file

Download WinRAR for free, open .zip and then you'll be able to install the contents

Interesting. My program card has a latest software version of 1.02 apparently. Whats your hardware version? Mines 1.00.

Also as for running the SkyRC Skylink software, also make sure you run as Administrator (right click) if you're running Windows Vista/Win7/Win8 and above, else it wont work.

Computers aren't smart. They do what you tell them.

I've just wired the 120a into my Yokomo B-max 2 with the Bluetooth module.

I was amazed that you can just leave the bluetooth module stuck-in to your car and leave it plugged in. To change settings you don't need to press anything on the ESC, just launch the app on your phone and change away You don't even need to take the shell off, you can just pull over while running!

I've set-up a few profiles on my phone - 1 with all parametres on 0 (Blinky), One with 20 degrees of boost timing so I can compare and go from there

I used to run a 7.5 in my 2WD, but I've stepped down to a 10.5 so I can take full advantage of changing the settings like boost timing. Should make the car very fair to drive round the infield yet still rapid down the straights

How fast does that kit fan spin as well?! Sounds like my cars going to take off!

Think I'm making progress now, even managed to make the page read in English (click the tab in the top right of the Skylink logo on the first page in case anyone else was struggling)

With a 8.5 they say set the boost at 10 and timing at 55 ? Anyone tried this?
Just using program 1 what is same as mod but almost like a safe mode no boost and 10 timing

As far as I'm aware, there are no restrictions for esc's in 1/10th Off Road. There are 'blinky' rules for 1/12th I believe.

So, yes, it's OK to use.

Can you only set different profiles on a PC as I can't see a way on changing it on the programming card

scroll though the options on the card and look for "Pre setting". press enter and it will allow you to select the profiles, 0-9.

Select the profile you want, then make changes to save to that profile.

Select another profile, make changes to that and save.

Selecting the first profile should take you back to the settings you set on that first profile edit.
