No mistake.....10000 weight oil in the diff in low grip situations, stops it diffing out (inside wheel spinning) I know some people say to run thin oil in low grip, but believe me it's much nicer with thick stuff in!
I've just got back from Oswestry national on a grass track, before it chucked it down with rain, I got a top 30 in round with 5000 oil in it. High grip carpet maybe 2000

Finished the build, went together nice. Some of the heads on the screws weren't very good so had to be replaced but other than that very pleased. First run tomorrow night at RHR.
Quick question for anybody with the DB1 shell fitted. Have you fitted the DB1 under tray with it and if so is there any chance you can post some pics for me please?. |

I'm not a fan of the kit slipper pads, I plan on getting the RCShox Garodisc set. I'm using them on my rear motor cars and absolutely love them.
I use 7000wt in my diff. I diff out with anything lighter than that.

It depends on what surface you are going to be racing on,for carpet or dry astro I would say not to cut, but if it is grass or low grip surface then you cut the top deck that runs from the slipper to the diff down the centre to give more flex, I haven't cut mi e but if you look at some photos of cars on here you will see some cut. With the pistons I have drilled 2 of the 6 holes out to 1.3 mm as new the holes are only .95 mm I think and if you start small you can always drill larger if you think you need to.
Anyway with both of these mods you can replace the parts if it dose t work for you. |

Kartsurfer is in general right what he says but I've cut mine and race on carpet and the car is excellent and handles a dream send me your email address and I will send you a photo but the drilling the pistons as had the most effect on my car it feels so good and has transformed the handling most if not all the thing you can do to the car is free and takes not to much effort but the effects are incredible

I think i'm the only tm2 at Mansfield that hasn't cut the top deck to aid traction (I haven't run in low grip yet) but I did a test at rhr 5 weeks ago and run 10,000 diff oil, you could gun the throttle out of corners and be confident the rear end wouldn't step out, I find kit diff oil works fine indoors on high grip, also as previously mentioned drill out 2 holes of the pistons to 1.3/1.4mm, also play with the roll bars because they do have a dramatic effect on how the car corners
