Wow this looks rather interesting

Have you got any pics of the actual item in royal blue?

Will there be any other future items like a gearbox case or wishbones?

How will the new design look in these sections?
My design i decided removing the pivot block protectors so will look the same as a current flat chassis. I did almost go for them but after discussions with some of the top boys in the 90's they were not really a necessity so didnt go on.

Cheeky git. Looks great, so does this mean 3d modelling and if yes can you modify the rear top deck mount by bringing the mount section for the top deck by 3mm as then you can use 5500 lipo sadles without any issues. I would also raise the front gearbox section as well.

Ive emailed and asked. I would like in a white colour rather than blue.

I'd love to see some Optima Mid parts like gearboxes and bulkheads

Would also be great to see some Lazer pivot blocks

The possibilities are endless

I am considering buying a front bumper and see how well it turns out

The list of parts available has just grown from his first post

I only just got round to dying my white RPM wishbones blue this weekend and now you can get them blue off the shelf

This all depends on how good the drawings are to see if the parts are a direct match for the originals though

I'd like to see some chain drive Optima parts 3D printed, mainly the front bumper and the chain guides.

Ive asked if they can do my redesign to the rear top deck mount and mod to the front gearbox so you can run 5500 lipo saddles. Like to see ultima rb type R rear hubs as well as that makes a huge difference to the handling.

He posted in here but doesn't seem to be back, I've quoted his post above yours.

Maybe he is working on more stuff before he posts back

Superb. Well next month im buying the front gearbox and rear top deck mount thats 3mm higher in white as i prefer it, it just looks unique that way.

Ive asked if a modified gearcover that works with my new layshaft design.

I will come here regularly to check any requests for parts. Please list the item numbers. Also, seems like the newest addition to Kyosho's Lazer series not be a belt drive. http://rcinsider.com/?p=49760

Pity, the car isnt very good so they start copying others. They need to go back to belt as they are better on high grip surfaces.

James, theres one part I'm surprised you haven't asked to have made and thats a rear shock tower mount but in the correct shape to work with the CF open gearbox. Though I guess the market would be very limited

May get that done, but once all else has been sorted. Also had a word with stephen about the L brace and asked him to add to your order.

2013-06-14-122.jpg

Hi folks

Dug the ZX-R out of the loft last week after a 15 year hibernation.

I would like to get this going again and have stumbled across this thread. All my batteries are knackered so might as well start again with all new electrics. At the moment I have a 12 turn brushed in it. Electrics have moved on a fair bit and I haven't a clue which lipo's to buy and which brushless motor to go for. Although I had my eye on a Tekin RS esc.

Any help in getting this going again would be much appreciated.

Rich
