Cheers

Should be at YORCC on the 25th of you boys fancy it?
Hi Col.

Glad to hear its looking promising.

Please post the KK settings once you get it sorted - mine is 'en-route'

Here you go pal, real good fun, it will even carry the small 720p cameras. They can be bought on same site for around 7 quid!

Lipo's also available here too. The 550mah ones from the V949's also fit and come in at 5 for under a tenner.

That was the mistake that I made - I copied settings from another quad of the same frame, but with different motors and speedo. It was horrendous!
It's trial and error I'm afraid. With room for improvement mine are very close to the ones in the first post of this thread: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1675613. It's still not right, but with limited time and no real space it's hard to get it right!

Just watched Danny's video of the little Syma quad , it's really cool and great flying btw !

Was wondering ( and please forgive my ignorance ) if its possible to do those flips and things and loops with a DJI phantom ? If so , what's the stick movements ??

I've recently got the phantom but only flew it 3 times so far due to time !

One more question , I've just bought a hero 3 black edition camera , the mount that comes with the phantom is only suitable with the hero 2 and is too large for the 3 , and when I use the case that comes with the camera I can only mount it upside down !
So , is it possible to correct the inverted picture when I load the video onto my computer ? I haven't even tried the camera yet so I'm totally unsure !

As I said , I'm new to quads and cameras so I'd appreciate all the help I can get!

Thanks in advance

Graham

Dont know about the mounts, but you could certainly invert the picture on a pc.

HELP !!!!

Package 1 arrived today - and some how I got these motors with a full length shaft and not the short (no shaft) versions I was expecting.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=31202

Will they be ok - if so which side mounts to the Quads arm !!
I thought the adapter thing screwed onto it for the prop, so based on my crappy logic, this would mean that the motor shaft would be pointing down and not used as such, just poking through the arm of the quad... Is this right

This is what i've got :

I assume the motor will go this way around with the mount thing for the prop screwed on with the 3 screws that screw it to the motor?

Then - what do i need / buy for the colet thing to go on top - as i'll be left with a thread / bolt as it stands.... confused...

I'm pressing on with the build.
I think The motors will be ok - just the shaft protrudes through the frame - no biggy.

Space is though tight on the 330 frame - so I bought one of these today:

Hopefully it will make things tidier and easier

Build in progress - 2nd shipment from US is en route now

I love watching your vids, Neal.
It's quite interesting to watch you go from hovering at head height to throwing it around as your confidence grows!

On a personal note I've finally got the settings for my kk2 board sorted - it's now stable and responsive with no oscillation or WOD (wobble of death) at all. Only downside now is that I find I didn't order enough battery's...

My build is on hold because :

1-Tx and a few other bits are en route.

2-Hobby King UK sent me 3 motors that I ordered and the 4th that is a different size / spec

Bugger....

Thanks Col, glad you like them.
Yes I'm a bit more confident now after this weekend at RHR. Seeing James fly mine made me dare to open it up and throw it round. The wide open space helped, i'll go find some fields locally now, with nothing to hit.

James said the mine was slower (than his quad), but the latest naza software update reduces the max-tilt angle in GPS mode, and i'm running different props. its fact enough (for now) and i'll try some upgraded graupner props when i see them for sale.

Good news on your setup. Can't wait to see it fly. I'm at a wedding next sat, so won't be at this coming meeting at York

I've a couple of queries...

How are your battery's secured to the quad? Are these used?

The other one will resurface in my mind soon

It's resurfaced.
Are you still using the 808#16? How is it attached - velcro?

Yes, one similar to that, plus some sticky Velcro on each pack, lining up with a 2" piece on the quad. I didn't feel the strap alone was enough.

Yup, 808 #16 v2 D lens (wide angle) Velcroed to the frame. Its not perfect, but doing me fine until I have learned to fly well enough to risk the gopro, and I buy a gimbal.
