Default Got 2 cars need the rest

Looking for everything inside the car.

I have a K1 and 44.2 and would like to know what people have for sale.

Brushless motor 4.5 to 7.5 1/10 buggy
ESC
Steering servo quick one
Radio gear 2.4

I need 2 of everything, I,ll buy the battery and charger

Please only nudge me if its 100% ok gear and not dodgy, like the stuff you've just replaced and its getting dusty, I'm trying to start out again in the rc car arena and wanted a good experience from the off.

Appreciate buying second hand isn't sometimes a great but I trust you all

Thanks guys paste anything if I like it I,ll nudge ya

Thanks

Rob

Rob, 4.5-6.5 will be uncontrollable for you, far too fast.
Get something tamer like at 10.5, or even a 13.5 for starters, maybe an 8.5max or 7.5 absolute maximum for Batley outdoors (end March), and most likely have to turn the throttle end point down. You will be faster and progress quicker with a 10.5. Batley indoor track is very slippery in places and too much grunt will be detrimental, even in 4wd.
It's very tempting to stick the fastest thing in, most new or returning people do it, but it's a backwards step trying to control it. Milder/slower is faster!

a few seconds of speed down the straight, but uncontrollable in the infield, where you need low end control. Too hot a motor will be un-drivable and you won't progress. If you get round the full track without crashing, that will be quicker than that quick blast down the straight, and spinning out or crashing into every corner. Get a 10.5, it will be fine outside too.

Also, visit or take a look at MB Models: http://www.rccarshop.co.uk
They race, so know what's what.

TBH, i'm in the same boat as you Tobamory, coming back to the hobby after 20+ years. You really really can't compare the old motors to the new ones in any meaningful way. My first cheap as chips RTR brushless was probably almost as quick as the old Modified cars 25 years ago.

What i've ended up with is 3 motors, (basically) 6.5, 8.5 and 10.5.
Indoors i use the 10.5 in 2WD and 8.5 in 4WD.
Once we go outside, the 8.5 goes in the 2WD and the 6.5 goes in the 4WD.

With boost and gearing changes i can muck around almost endlessly with the performance, but selecting a more suitable motor to start with makes the car much more driveable.

(a 6.5 in a 2WD is only fun for those watching from a safe distance. I know this from bitter experience. )
