Hi Fabs,

Running the car with all electronics behind the servo and the lipo's all the way at the back will give a similar weight distribution like my car is now.
With the shorty lipo it will be around 63% rear bias.
63% rear bias is a massive difference with the 59% I had so this explains why your car is dialed.

Could you send me the set up you're running now (astro indoors like Charleroi)?

Am now running shorty in the same way, and after a few tweaks to the setup I can honestly say it's far better than any DB1 I've tried. In fact I've hated the way the DB1 handles, it's defo not a car for me.

I haven't honestly checked the weight bias. But the car works for me as is.

My latest setup is on Petit RC, that's for carpet and with the shorty.

I run a 30g weight between the motor and lipo to help with rear traction.

Last time I ran at Charleroi, I didn't have the extra weight and ran the shocks outside on the front arms. It was good on astro but tricky on the slippery sections.

Any pictures of cars with batteries at the rear and electronics at the front?

I am considering this for a tidier setup and some room at the back for a fan to the motor!

I was speaking to a chap today at Southport rc who told me i had my rear
lower arms on back to front.
I had the edge with the single shock hole at the rear and the twin holes to the front, i was a bit shocked to say the least that i'd been dumb assed enough to make such an error and on getting home i swapped them around as he suggested using the outer shock holes.
Only to get the instructions out to find i had them on the right way in the first place
Now what i need to know from you more experienced jedi is there a right or wrong way and if so why?
Cheer's Derek.

the single is in the middle of the two front holes not really wrong or right but we have always ran them with two at the rear so u get some adjustment quickly, buy the way weve tried the single hole and didnt like it there

We run them with the single hole, I've tested both and is a tuning aid either which way.

trouble using the single sided whole is when you want to adjust the lower shock position you have to strip the car down, hence why he said run the two sided all the time

Hi all. Any suggestions on what I can change on set up. The RB6 feels great through the tight twisty sections of the track but at speed for example at the end of the straight going in to the first corner (so off power) the car wants to over steer big style.

Thanks

theres loads you could do
stiffen oil and or spring rate
increase caster
raise front hub
raise inner ball stud
cut the outside edge of the tire
move the shocks out at the lower mount
you need to try and see which suits you best

Had the very same problem, tried changing the caster first and bang, problem solved. This car is ever so sensitive to the slightest of changes, so don't be changing anymore than 1 thing at a time before you give it a run. The other things you could try, Carl has already mentioned. Good luck with it. She's some machine when set up right

Thanks guys. Just read back a bit and I have the rear arms on the same as dirkdiggle said. So I will change them round to start with and try the outer hole on the rear arm. Don't really want to go any softer on springs as there will be too much body roll as its a high bite track. Iv already stiffened the front springs up to try and take a bit of steering out of it and it helped a little. Don't get much track time to test out changes. so I have to try and guess before I get to the track.

Thanks again

Moving the lower rear shock position to the outside will marginally firm the rear suspension hence promoting more weight transfer to the front when coming off power. Try moving the front lower shock position to the outside first as Carl said.
