Royal Mail clearly haven't done the job we have paid them to do by not getting the item signed for.

I recommended the customer to fill in a P58 claim form, as the item is not lost, but has been run over, I am not sure Royal Mail will even pay out in such a circumstance as the item was delivered undamaged, however it should have been signed for. In cases where items are lost we usually try and claim, but i have never had a claim accepted in 7 years.

I have spoken to Royal Mail and made a complaint that a Signed For item has been delivered and not signed for.

Either party can make a claim thats why the claim for ask if you are the sender or recipient, in my experience if the item is lost we claim, if damaged the customer as they have the item, Royal Mail will want to see evidence.

In this case i don't think there is any point making a claim as i don't think Royal Mail will pay out.

As a gesture of goodwill i am willing to replace the items.

MB
think that sums it up perfectly, the post office need to show its been signed for, but ultimatly even they did not deliver it damaged.
and how many other shops would offer to replace at thier cost!! shows why mbm are one of if not the best shops in the uk

Sounds to me like the posty should get his books.

A customer pays for Special Delivery but it gets dumped in the driveway? Ridiculous.

[QUOTE=Jamie B4;742819]Thanks for the replies chaps, think you're missing the point slightly - have no issues with MB as ordered stuff and they sent it..

If that is the case with all respect you may want to change the thread title as it is not a good look for mb.

Default *Thankyou*

Thank you to MB Models through personnal email system - Again as stated no problem with MB Models as service is excellent, choice excellent.

It is a simple warning against Royal Mail and to let the shops etc know to be very careful as although it says signed for - means nothing. So to safe guard there delivery system check that the items are as they should be

Royal Mail have been in touch and sent me the form P58 that they originally said had to be sent by sender although on the form it asks if you are the sender or recipient

Again sorry that this has been an issue but sure it will be sorted and shows that MB models cant do enough to help

Morral of the story go for track collection

Also tried to change original title but wont let me - can anyone help

The Royal Fail is a complete joke, hate to think how many times I've had to ring up and complain about something over the last few years!!!

I even went as far as to put a note on my door stating to not leave anything in my porch or worst still outside and that I would take action for any loss. After the first time they ignored that the mountain of crap I poured on them seems to make them behave themselves now.

Yes going to the depot to pick up nearly every package is a pain but better than loosing something expensive / important.

rant over....

I must confess I have moaned about having to drive into town to collect parcels as my area take to the main office. So in some ways I ought to be grateful my posties don't sign stuff to save themselves hassle if this type of thing is happening to people.

My work around for this is to get my toys delivered to work where it will arrive on my desk, problem solved!

To edit the title on your original post click the edit button then the advanced button.

I have no end of parcels thrown over the back gate by royal mail. Often these can be seen out of my lounge window so theyt get seen. The downside of this is that means they'd been thrown around 20 feet into the back garden.

Where possible I get everything delivered to work now.

Top marks to MB for offering to replace despite being completely not their fault.

Wow never realized the royal mail could be that bad, where i live they seem to be really good either its at the depot or dropped off next door. Makes me feel bad how i complain that i have to go all the way into town to collect something.

but some other company's i have found can be really bad, stuff from USPS from america can take 2 months sometimes for something not much bigger bigger than a regular letter, and city link a.k.a (shitty link) seem to loose stuff frequently.

MB models are top class on the other hand and they are just top class, always try and go to them first as i know there will not be any issues.

Royal Mail are getting so bad, im actually going to stop ordering online.
Had countless problems from, parcels being dumped, sent to the wrong house, taking weeks to arrive, no card left if no ones in, even parcels opened with nothing in!!!
