Excellent car, really enjoying the way it can be driven really hard when necessary.

Couple of things to take note of:
When assembling the kit make sure that the spur gear is facing slot downwards (pin slot in spur faces the spring).

The manual has the tapered shock pistons the wrong way up.

Replace the split pins in the rear wheel hexes with stainless pins or these will fail you at some point .

Alec,

Do you know where we can get some pins from? I think they are 1.6mm x 11 to 12mm

This is a good point and vital to do if you don't want to bugger a spur gear in minutes! Don't know the reason for it, but I've built 4 now with no issues but 2 that were built by others and both unfortunately had it the wrong way round wrecked their spurs in the first nights racing.

Hi Ben, just follow exactly the instruction manual the picture is correct in there. If you look at the spur gear one side is different to the other

It builds up the same as your T4

No you shouldn't need any shims, they are in the kit. Most of us use low profile cut staggers on the front.

Good luck finding one, I was under the impression they were all sold out but hopefully for you I'm wrong.

Most of us are going for a team c hard spring on the front, and using the kit rear. The kit comes with a medium front.

As John said schumacher low profile cut staggers up front and schumacher yellow mini pins on the rear for carpet and same fronts but schumacher yellow mini spikes in the dry or balistic buggy greens in wet or damp for the rear on astro you can use team c springs as John said but apparently losi 22 springs also fit if you cannot get team c ones.
