The only problem is a hat is one size fits all a thong isnt. Imagine if preddy was BQ half way though CCCAAAPPPIIINNNGGG!!!!! and the thong lands on someones head.

I think th umberella hat is a good idea. Just think if it rains half way through the final and you had the BQ umbhat! youd be dry when everyone else get wet!
