Default Rich Lowe joins XFactory

XFactory have announced the signing of regular BRCA national A-finalist Richard Lowe to the team for 2013.

XFactory:
Rich will be racing in both 2wd and 4wd off road, helping X-Factory to continue their ongoing development of the forthcoming X-7 buggy as well as running the new X60-CF and SCX-60CF short course in the truck class’s.
Rich’s cars will continue to be powered by the full compliment of electronics (Motors, LIPO’s and ESC’s) from Vampire Racing. He will also be using the full array of products supplied from JConcepts, Lunsford, MIP, Exotek, Ballistic Buggy, Hiro Seiko, Team SR amongst others too. Rich is rated as one of the best drivers in the UK today, he has been racing now for 20+ years since the tender age of just 8 and has finished top 10 in both 2wd and 4wd classes in recent year’s BRCA national championships.

It's all about Rich using his wealth of knowledge to help develop a new 4wd which he would not get chance to do at AE it's not always about how much discount you get to race a brand of car, I know of two very good young drivers who have gone privateer which I thing is a good thing, not chasing the deal.

Rich.

Thought you'd tried this once before !

Seriously though, for us club & regional racers, (the people who actually buy stuff and keep this hobby alive) people like Rich are what we need, not Brand hopping superstars like Ellis. Rich is a legend and one of the most helpful racers I know.

Also, I'd be very surprised if he doesn't outperform the likes of Ellis this year too!

X Factory have bagged a good un.

Congrats.

Brand hoping, Stafford?? What, he's been with XFACTORY quite a while.

I can think of many other F1 racers that change every year...

Surely human beings can't get much quicker than Richard. Silly fast at York last weekend. I think it's only fair he uses a 2wd in the 4wd group....

Bit harsh the statement about ellis? However this threads about Richard and Xfactory, congratulations to both, and lets be honest, if xfactory remoulded the X-6 chassis to be thinner like a C4.1 width, most people would buy one! No bendy C4's then...

I will add also...

This thread is solely about Rich joining and the future, but, Ellis being labelled as a brand hoping superstar, very harsh in my opinion also, he was very loyal for a great deal of time to X-Factory (and Losi before that - the two main teams he has been in) and he left in a professional and amicable manner for reasons that were understandable and suited all parties concerned at that time.

I second what Darren said. We are most pleased to have Rich back with us and look forward to his valuable input on product development for U.K. tracks & conditions. I've met Rich on two occasions; he will be an excellent #1 and we are fortunate to have him.

Ellis most definitely is NOT a "brand hopper." The Big E gave us outstanding performance for six full years, and Losi for longer than that before us. His contributions were enormous, and we are most thankful. As Darren said, the parting was very amicable indeed and handled in a professional manner too.

Everything changes, and we are pleased with our entire U.K. Team for 2013.
