I have just upgraded to a tekin rs pro.
Have a run into an issue using the Hotwire.. Firstly I'm on current 223 software and have a spectrum cap on the receiver (no lipo booster in line with the speedo yet, I plan to run 1cell lipo soon.) The speedo is in a mardave v12 currently running 4cell nimh. I tried to set the voltage cutoff to "none" but the none setting is not there, it seems to have been replaced with "1cell lipo" So I have set it to one cell lipo even though I'm running 4cell nimh. Is this advised or will this cause me problems? The car only seems to run if I gradually pull the throttle, if I pull throttle quickly the car stalls. Hopefully a tekin owner on here can help.. Cheers..Michael. |

Hi Michael, are you using brushed or brushless motor?
Cut off set to 1S should be fine, and selecting 1S mode. I run my RS with 1S and bushless, and its fine. I'm on 223 as well. I was helping someone out today with an RS pro, that was set to 1S, blinky, with 1S voltage cut off, but it would not work. we had to run a receiver booster, and it all worked fine then. Prior to going brushless, I did run my RS in brushed mode with a saturn 20T and 4 Cell Nihm. I just set it to 1S cut off. It was slow in brushed mode, much slower then my brushed FXR Find the Tekin forum, and Randy Pike, the bloke from tekin may help. When i was enquiring about 4 Cell, he seemed to think 4 cell support had been dropped, as "no one" ran it. Infact with my FXR, I had to go to older firmware to get it to work in 4 Cell mode, so this may be the case with the RS pro?
