I have no clues about tyres for carpet. Can I get a few hints?

Are there any surefire make/tread/compounds?

Elliott.

Hi Elliott

Schumacher Yellow Minipins will be the choice, but Yellow Minispikes also work well and are a lot less aggressive....

To be honest i don't think there will be anything else that gets close to either of these.

Why not FTD? Surely the track conditions aren't going to changeas the day goes on, are they?

FTD has my vote, 2 out of 3 rounds doesn't leave any room for a breakage/bad run.

Yeah okay then, whats the decision behind 3 finals for all (as I read it) or was it just a finals only have 3 legs?

I would have thought it would be better to have 3 rounds of qually and 2 finals for all, since then time does not become a problem.

Mark

Well theres only 80 competitors, considering nats have 120+ and finish at a decent time i don't think it will be much of a problem.

I think Andy wanted to give everyone 3 Leg finals to increase the amount of "racing" for everyone rather then just qualifying all day to have one final.

I'm sure it'll be fine on the day, it's just a bit different!

Up to Andy but i guess a vote for FTD or Rd x Rd would be an idea for the morning? Depends how hard it is to set-up on the computer as i have no idea!

Should be a good day either way though

The problem with round by round on 3 rounds only is that if you have a problem in one round your day is effectively over as you'll have to drive conservatively to make sure you have 2 scores on the board to get any final at all....

Just another thought, 3 finals will be a bit of a problem for some people to charge ...... charging at 1C (I normally charge less than this) means your looking at about an hour to charge a pack of cells. When you consider that you need to let them cool between running and charging and most people will already be using at least one of their 3 packs (this seems a standard number) twice durring a normal day it is going to become an issue ...... just a thought.

I'll have to work out if I can still attend (from a charging point of view), which will be a shame as I was looking forward to it.
