Yokomo cars are superb.

I remember when CML (then a small model shop called Central Models based in Longbridge, Birmingham) started distributing Yokomo cars in the UK (the YZ-870C being the first) back in 1988.

Happy days....

It would be great to see Yokomo receiving the support they deserve in UK.

Maybe you should gather as many fans as possible and wave Yokomo banners at every round of the BRCA nationals. That'll teach CML!
Has Neil Cragg ever won any European championship since he swithed to the B44?!

I recall Neil Cragg receiving his B MAX a day before the euro's, and commenting how instantly impressed he was with it.

Cannot help but think there are things going on behind the scenes that we do not know about in relation to the distribution issues.

I'm reluctant to think it's a cost issue importing from Japan (plenty of Jap goods are imported to the UK every year, without issue or hefty costs).

To be fair to CML here, I don't think there would be many firms wishing to step in, I think the high price of the parts trade may be a worry to anyone putting a company into a position of holding stock as dead stock would be a major worry, also I have no idea if yokomo require a minimum stock order if you wish to be an importer..that could cost a few quid up front.

it surprises me that yokomo have not looked around for a new importer as CML push AE in a big way and the B44 is a competitor to the Bmax and the B4 is a hard car to beat in the market place when it comes to 2wd,If I were yokomo I would have thought about shifting to another importer that would push their brand harder. also American companys can be very agressive to deal in the market place if you were the uk importer for AE and started to push another companys product hard, thats a direct competitor to AE I don't think it would be long before your phone rang or some Emails headed your way.

I would never be shocked if yokomo went the same way as Kyosho and mugen going with an importer for europe rather than uk

Just my thoughts ...and bad spellings
