Default M4 Nylock LOW PROFILE Wheel Nuts

Good Morning! I was wondering if you guys could help me..

I'm looking for some low profile Nylock M4 wheel nuts for my Tamiya TRF511, I'm have a couple of problems with the wheels erm.. falling off

As far as I can tell, it's due to the length of the thread on the front wheels not being long enough to go through the Nylock on a normal size wheel nut.

I've been trawling the interwebs but I can't seem to find any.. anyone got any ideas?

You need some M4 serrated nuts. That'll solve your problem.

Afternoon, cheers for your reply.

However, I've tried some serrated nuts before and they fell off too :/ The problem is that I can't tighten the nuts too much otherwise it adds resistance to wheel due to pressing on the bearing.

Hi,

I used to have the same prob on my B44.1. I just added a bit of threadlock on the nut and thread of the drive shaft. Sorted it out a treat.

Cheers Paul

I think HPI do some serrated nyloc nuts - but they are expensive! Not sure how low profile you need and thus how suitable they are for your needs either...

CML do some nyloc/serrated M4 nuts in various colours, pretty cheap too.
