Ok guys, as per previous emails Alcyon has kindly sent over a layshaft for me to test. I have done a step by step picture manual for you all to see how it went together.

Picture 6 and 7 you will need to modify by filing to make the rear mount shock tower to fit correctly against the CF gearbox casing.

Also as you can see I have made a do it yourself gearbox cover to account for the longer shaft by gluing on a cut to size bearing plastic case thanks to Alcyon again.

Also you will see the three washers in these pics, two in between the bearing and layshaft bushing behind the spur and a single washer between the bearing and one way.

I've had to modify by filing the metal spur bushing to make my spur fit correctly but am awaiting my 100T B4 spur gears to properly test. I hope these pictures do it justice, also before I forget I have added a CF front pivot block and am now holding the wishbone poles in place by the pole holders used for the ZX-S just in case you were wondering. I have also had to cut my body shell more to make the gear cover fit correctly which I must add I did make a mess off, still live and learn.

Now to set the slipper correctly and game on. Enjoy

Im drooling already. Im daft as a brush today but just realised all holes are exact so ignore my last sentance in the PM to you. The finish is quite astounding and better than Kyoshos finished product. Your annodisers are superb.

You are going to like it even better when everything is here.

*spoiler*
I kinda solved your problem of mounting and the width of your rear gear box.

Like to see what your solution is. I cant wait to get the first batch of B4 100 teeth spur gears to properly test the gearbox.

I forgot to add with the pictures but these bearings on ebay are not exactly the same size as kyosho makes and sells as the layshaft moves left right up and down in my CF gearbox so i had to find my old bearings and flush with GT85 (do not use WD40 as this damages them) and spin and flushed until the bearings were smooth again. These dont move around so must be fractionally bigger. Ive also zero movement left or right between the bearings (if you hold either end of layshaft and move back and forth) so the belts should last much longer as well.

Two more spoilers.

My supplier shipped the parts to me this morning. I should be getting them late this week, or early next week.

As always I am constantly amazed at not just what you guys get done with these cars but the sheer drive behind the work that gets done. No doubt the ZXS is a very 'loved' beast.
Awesome work!
