New guy looking for info

Hi Folks, I have a mate that is considering getting into 1/8th despite my best efforts to get him into large scale. He's from Manchester and was thinking about a hyper 7, could anyone suggest all the bits & bobs needed for a good day at a track (He's got radio gear) - which brings me onto the next point, which are the most local clubs to Manchester?

The hyper 7 rtr is a great starter car but you would be better off going for
A losi 8 rtr as it will be easyer to upgrade!!
I live in manchester and There are loads of rx tracks within 45mins
Nnrc at kirkam, prcc at Preston, pdmcc at barnoldswick, snrc at stoke and mmrx at Wakefield
All are awesome tracks and are well supported by their members who
Are always happy to help and give advice
