I'm going to be running my b4 outdoors over the winter.
Does anyone have any suggestions on waterproofing brushless motors? Many thanks

Or you could try plastidip.
Its what a lot of the touring cars guys are building there wet cars with now. You get a small paint tin pot sized and just grab whatever you want to seal and submerge it in the stuff. When it dries it shrinks and grips to the item. Its also great to remove with no damage to the item and zero mess left. |

To do the job properly you need to take the motor apart to get to the sensor board PCB. This needs to be lazy goo'd or plastidip'd, myself I use plastidip
Something that is cold and wet, then gets really hot will produce condensation both externally and internally. This is why you see cars run for 5 minutes in the first heat then stop working. Then the same gear is fine a week later after its dried out. If you want to see more about this have a look at the round 2, Cotswolds video on http://www.rcracing.tv/ its at the bottom of the page. |

Yes it is Arran. I have opened up my speedo and receiver and put the lazy goo all over the circuit boards and everything is ok.
Might see you with some off roading this year mate during the winter |

Do you guys use "normal" plasti dip or the "liquid tape" version?
