The Caster Racing 1/10th buggies SK10 or S10B?
Early days of thinking about getting another 4wd to try properly - had a b44 which I didn't really use that much before selling on, so came back to these? Price wise new, seem about the £120+ rtr mark, however could take out the electrics and sell on so actual purchase price new is a little less when taking that into consideration ![]() So was just wondering if anyones still using these, how they find it, durability, spares availability etc etc Many Thanks Matt

the one i've seen at the local club isnt great and breaks regularly, but i guess at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

Just in defence of the Caster.
We have 5 at our club, 4 RTR and one PRO, and I've seen them take some pretty major hits from kids and beginners and just drive away. The wishbones are like 1/8th, which means the cheap hinge pins just bend instead. Not seen any part failures that haven't been crash related. The lad who has the PRO kit has a mint setup mint and it looks dialled as any B44 etc Like they say, speak as you find ![]()

Cheers for reply Dalla, I think the reality may well be that as less people run them due to the tried and tested makes being number one choice, the feedback on the lesser used makes will always be a bit negative. It's kind of the same as ansmann, whilst a good few people use them and race them, the general perception of them is that they break alot, unless you upgrade them. My first rc car, a year back was a 4wd nitrotek buggy jobby, only used it for bashing at the time and to be fair the only breakages I ever had with it were purely due to me parking the buggy into the kerbs. I suppose as long as spares are readily available for the Caster then there's no reason why I couldn't take a chance in the future, even moreso if I can get it for a good 2nd hand price ![]()

i had one... the main problem with it is the plastic diff gears you get... just make a bad crunching noise and the diff keep loosining but other wise a good car .... i sold it and got losi 22 the only thing ive had to replace is 1 rear hub and had some bad crashes. the sk10 can take some beating, i bent 2 hinge pins and no wishbones. my step dad ripped the whole of the front of his of when he hit the rostrum. he was the one who bought mine for spare parts so he had spares to replace and got it fixed in 25 mins.
