Default Mardave Meteor rear wheels

I could do with a pair of Meteor rear wheels.

I don't care whether they're painted or not, just as long as they're useable and dog cheap.

Mardave haven't got any and they've not got the tooling to make some anymore.

I'm rebuilding a 20 year old well thrashed, bashed and fully ballraced in pretty good condition onto a LWB chassis for some bashing and all I need is a pair of rear wheels.

Cheers.

Have you got a spare gearbox you'd be willing to part with? I have only the one set of wheels for mine unfortunately, so I can't offer you any - sorry!

'Fraid not.Have you tried Mardave themselves?

They reckon they can supply most parts for cars 20 years old(though not Meteor wheels)

Here's their website:

http://www.mardaveracing.com/information.htm

They have a contact e-mail addy and phone number. It might just be worth giving them a call.
I missed a running Meteor and a load of spares the other week on E-Bay by seconds. There were 2 chassis(standard and a rare gold anodised LWB),2 gearboxes,2 front ends and a load of wheels and tyres.

Here's the guy's E-Bay name that bought them:

He seems to be a bit of a buggy breaker.I asked him about a pair of rear wheels but he didn't seem too keen on parting with a pair, but he may fix you up with a gearbox.

I might just have a pair coming from a guy who's re-building a Meteor to mint factory NIB standard.

His has got brand new wheels all round and he reckons he's got a pair in decent shape that I can have for my runner.
