I ran the tyres in 4wd too, there was much less wear on these though the track had much less concrete which might have had something to do with it. I did 3 runs and they pretty much felt as good on the 3rd as the first, I don’t think they go off as quick as the Schumacher’s and grip well when looking visually worn. So visually they might wear faster than a Schumacher but in terms of grip they keep going as long, maybe, more testing needed.

What is good though is that on my first run the track was a little damp after a shower and by the end was almost dry (was one of those days), they defo worked when damp and as proved by times are very good in the dry. So you know when you can’t decide if it’s worth the gamble on yellows yet but it’s close, I think these bad boys are the perfect answer as are better in the damp and seemingly there or there abouts as good in the dry.

From speaking to Adam, pre mounts are very much a consideration with AE/Losi fronts and rear (same fitment) compatability. I think 4wd (fronts) were out due to the wide range of wheel types out there now. Either way he is best to confirm!

Ref Stotfold, they may well be great on the front, however with slims, stagger ribs and now these there are only so many things to try!

these tyres look very neat indeed...

i can remember at a regional over 2years ago have some very 'thin' Shuey Yellows that looked like they would rip at any time, sad to hear its still happening now.

glad someone has come along to put some decent effort in and also being developed by a renowned UK racer - Excellent!

would be good to see Schumacher respond to this as mentioned in other posts, If they improved the quality things will be very interesting.

I know if i was Schumacher i'd take this tyre as a fairly big complement, i mean it shows that they did get something right when they did their development in the early 90's.

Of all the tyres i have ever run, they always change when the "edge" has worn away - and this is usually a decrease in grip. As someone else said, i have seen people cut fresh edges on their tyres. Never done it myself, but have seen it done - expecially on something like a TR32. I'd be very very surprised if this tyre bucks that trend, but hey i'm open minded.

Well I have had my first blow out with schumacher yellow mini spikes, and gutted comes to mind as the race I was having was one sided (my way) until it happened. 4th race as well, if you include the 3 minute practice.

Still the piece that did come off is 1.3 inch in length and almost 3/4 inch in width. The funny thing is I still managed to finish third but the insert was undamaged, now thats funny.

Any one else have the same problem?

Well I like the tires, and have never before had an issue, so will give them the benefit of the doubt. I have had a reply to an email I sent to them and they want to investigate further and will replace my pair of rear tires. I wasnt expecting that so hope they can rectify the issue that appears to be going on now.

That's probably due to now having a little direct competition in the market place. Up until now they haven't given a flying .....
