Why are people saying the C4.1 chassis is not in stock anyway? We ordered some for spares and they are here sat on the shelf waiting for anyone who may need one (not sold any yet), so readily avialable for all as far as I know...

I did. I bent one on the cougar 2 - easy done..

There is room for two braces. Each being a single 1/2inch wide piece extending from top of front battery post to front brace. On mine it'd go over the ESC no problem..

Hey Tony,
long metal ruler for a straight edge, flat accross the bottom of the cells and rear end, but under the servo was only 2mm gap - minimal tweek, I hadn't felt it. It bent back with minimal effort. By the time Steve Lawson had a look mine was perfectly flat and im happy. Another car checked had a bend due to rear brace too short + cell posts not filling the holes in the brace.. easily fixed with a few turns of that turnbuckle.

AndyS, go get a C4.1, they're awesome. The forum is a bad place to read negativity and its being blown out of proportion. It'll be easy to knock up some braces if you feel you need them, im sure somebody will see the 'gap in the market' and make them for all sooner or later. I'll be making my own soon and ive come away from yesterday very possitive about the car..

"As for spares the car was only realease last week so spares are going to be a little short. Bloody hell you can not even buy 210 wheels and thats been out for over a month......"

These were the comments I was reffering to Carl

Just to make a few thing clear for you all.

Yes at the last 1st round i did have to hammer my chassic flat but please note this was a per production chassis with a hole cut out at the rear that is not on the production cars, and the chassis had been on the car since Tawain National, so thats not bad, and i am sure not many chassis would have let me keep going to the end of the race after hitting a marker tyre flat out square on at the front.

As for comments of the chassis being made of the wrong material that is complete rubbish, the chassis is made of the material to give the best performance, other have been tried and tested and just dont work at all.

That's about all they were good for!
It was a car that adjusted it's kickup during the race, who knew what degree it would be when it finished!

i saw ste's chassis at the first chadderton event i was watching him race and have to say if it was a plastic chassis it would have been new everything, its was a hard smack and after a little work it was as stright as a die

Hasn't this been locked yet!
Chinese whispers........
And anyone who's moaning about bending a chassis to the point where they have to start all this off should either learn to drive or maybe don't get the most from there cars with any good results.
A bent chassis wouldn't bother me if my car performs as well as they have been I'd just but a new one with no problems!
Don't get me wrong it's not a cheap hobby anyone who thinks they can start it without it costing a bit really needs to re think the hobby!

thats just a great attitude to have.

i don't have a c4.1 but from the first pictures released my first thoughts were its going to bend. Yes its not the end of the world and the car will still run with a bent chassis, but.....from a £170 conversation i would expect it not to.

don't think its fair to say the guy who originally posted this needs to learn to drive, when the british champion has to have his chassis bent back as well.

If I said half of these negative comments I would have been flamed like a hot rod
Maybe the chassis conversion ( not car! Cause it's not ) should have been released with a more fit for normal racers chassis then the cheaper bendy one offered as an upgrade.

Matty if you hit a vega hard enough to bend it you would have snapped about 3 stock plastic chassis . Everything Rc can be bent in the event of a mega crash (rare!) are you trying to say they are not fit for purpose?

Think it all comes down to, if you want to be fast buy a C4.1.

If your going to crash and moan about it get a durango/22 etc

All this moaning, starting to sound like a bunch of touring drivers.

A fast car will be fragile, and as seen at this years nationals its very fast.

I think it should be made from frp if you want all that uncontrolled bending
Cause that's the right material for this app not memory soft Ali
Just my 1p worth

The cml last years drivers would have had the same results I think with a cougar/ 22 / b4 / cobra etc lol
