I am feeling happy and in a cheerful mood so i think that i will do them for free as-well as a few other things if you want, i wouldn't like to be swamped with your stuff to do, so only a little bit at a time, so i can get a fair bit of run-time in.

Why of course, just tell me what to do and give me full range over your 'magic' box and i'll sort myself out

I wouldn't say that mine is more magic, because it is probably the same as everybod else's. I think it is because there are normally three or four of them within 10 meters of each other, making the space in-between magical where those drivers can tune there cars to a higher level with greater ease.

well i for one was not very happy with the track on saturday, i may aswell use a silver can for the amount of grip there was. yes it was a good laugh for a short time but there was no flow to it. so i didn't decide to run the buggy, 2wd was practically impossible on the slippy stuff you could of walked faster, needs a lot more carpet in my opinion, dont get me wrong i drive at my club on slippy floor but on saturday it was like driving on sheet ice, not competative just luck of the draw> rant over!!!

I agree it was impossible and i might even try a silver can on Wednesday, but after talking to Garry on the night i do believe it will be better in the long run, hoping it will raise the standard of driving at the club.

Well it will be great practise in the long run, because to drive fast on slippy stuff then you have to learn a new driving style, which will help everyone out at somepoint. Also it will help improve your driving, to help make everyone a bit smoother. And josh, if you want you can lend my 19 turn. As you may want a faster motor than a silver can after a while, as you get used to it.

It won't make a huge difference, but when grip is really low you can run very soft springs to make the most of what's there - I used to run Schuey white and yellow springs on polished floors!

Since there's no grip to make the car roll, you don't need stiff springs to hold it up...

I though the track at the weekend was good. I really enjoyed it. It was just what my thumbs needed. I think there could be some bits changed which i did mention to Gary.

The only change I made to my 2wd was to back the slipper of a bit. Other than that it was the same as Southport even the tyres. Worn Yellow Spikes.

You have to learn to keep the car moving rather then a stop start action if you know what i mean.

You will find that altering your driving style and roll centres makes more difference, as Rich Lowe has mentioned before you need to drive smoothly, but use a point and shoot method (which is very easy to do with 2wd buggy). Just brake in a straight line, and almost do a very slight handbrake turn to get the back around on tight turns.

You may also find that slightly worn yellow minispikes are better than yellow minipins, because there are fewer spikes, which causes more pressure on each of the spikes, increasing what little grip you have. It may be better to drive a slightly understeering car more aggressively using the brakes to pivot the back of the car around.

Give it a try! I have tried running 2wd before, but nothing will handle better in low grip situ such as this like a 4wd or touring car!
M
I would also add that have you tried Green minispikes? If it is a slippery surface yellows are not always the option. Try greens on the rear and see if you get more grip from standstill. Also a standard setting that the drivers here have posted would also be a good bet, as your setup may not be beneficial to the surface your running on.

Greens don't work indoors at all, at least not on any surface I've ever raced on.
