Jorn broke it on the jumps first lap

Neil was really unlucky when he crashed on the jumps on lap 2 (or whenever) at the start of the final leg.
There was no marshal on spot eight at the middle of the quad so Danny had to run to sort it out. At the Euros the A final marshals are covered by the country that marshal spot is from (so the Brits had to cover spots 1, 2, 4 and 6). Unfortunately there should have been a Frenchman there but no-one spotted it and the race started - which shouldn't have happend.

Fair play to cockers who ran over to cover it for the rest of the race when he didn't have to. Would havebeen a much closer race otherwise.

Having said that, Lee was more consistent in the finals and deserved to win.
Top work Lee

I was 3rd in 2003, 4th in Italy in 2008 with the Cat Sx. Plenty of schuie guys have made numerous A's over the last few years - last year myself and Cockers were in the A over the 2 classes.

This Euros showed great driving from Lee and Neil, they were the class of the field and did the Uk proud. I felt bad for Bradders, 2 unfortunate breakages when running top 3 was harsh, but efra rules wont let cars be repaired mid race. Top job from Ellis, only mid motor in the A.

Roll on 4wd!

Shame for both Jorn & Neil, but congrats to Neil. Would have been nice for a three way fight. Now who for 4WD??

On the video, (http://www.rcracer.com/vids-offroad-...oad-finals-day) the marshal has to come
a long way to get to Neil in the middle of the quad - he was pretty quick to get there fortunately (sounds like Danny!)

I didnt realise that there should have been a marshal in the middle...

The car is stationary in between jump 3 and 4. There is a marshall in between 2 and 3 and one after 4. So I don't think neil loses a lot more time than when there would have been a marshall in the middle (maybe 0.5s). Not saying there shouldn't be a marshall, but you guys make it sound like he lost 3seconds because of the missing marshall.

Some super close times today from 4WD Free Practise day!

Times are all up at www.myrcm.ch; but it's going to be very difficult to separate the top drivers. The ranking is officially done on best 2 consecutive laps. Whilst this gives a pretty good indication of who is quick, it's by no means indicitive of who was best over the complete run.

The Durango guys looked very quick, and there are a lot of people who expect them to be on top come qualifying tomorrow.

The Tamiya guys spent the day going back-and-forth between their two cars. Lee has settled on the shaft drive 502, believing it to be most consistent over the run for him, whilst Marc has gone for the belt driven 511, feeling that quickest for him.

Schumacher cars have also looked quick - Danny McGee and Tom Cockerill well inside the top 10. Then throw in the Associated guys of Neil, Bradders and Peter Pinisch and it looks like it will be a great scrap not only for pole position but for every spot in the A final.

Plan for tomorrow is 2 Controlled Practise, then 3 (or even 4, depending on weather) qualifying rounds. But, there is a chance of rain, which may disrupt the schedule. For EFRA rules, they must complete 1 controlled practise, a minimum of 2 qualifying rounds (3 ideally) and the finals.

All the action will be covered at www.EFRA.ws and also on my Twitter @RCRacingOli. We even will have some ON-BOARD footage from practise, thanks to Viktor Wilck loaning us his car!

On the video, the green stool is where marshal 8 should have been. All I can say is anyone who crashed there was lucky it was McGee on the next spot - he is quite literally the worlds fastest marshal!!

The lack of marshal was reported to the relevant officials and if anything was done it didn't affect the results...

Ellis is driving the Tamiya.
The heat was back today and the track is now starting to rut a bit but doesn't seem to be affecting pace at the moment.
Practice was quite hectic due to plenty of no-shows so down to 10 heats.
