I can run a AMB20 on windows XP using Laps Free or BBK. You need a serial adapter, and to down load a suitable driver - a Soft 32 driver worked for me.

i have an amb 20 system with a serial to usb adapter from maplins but the person that dealt with it has given up and has left rc for the time being so i was given back our timing gear at westcoast raceway we were using laps free but we found it didnt support a timed practice so i was looking for something a bit more user friendly too so i have to sort out a laptop but that shouldnt be a problem as we have a few older ones lying about the house
