I got the shocks off ebay for £12. They looked good so I took a gamble.
I think they are 3 racing shocks. They are the first version and 3 racing now do version 2. They are available at rcmart in Hong Kong.
30wt front and 25wt rear.

Its a losi item, im not 100% sure but i have been told by others that it was a mod used back in the days of the xxx. Basically it helps to spread the load of the spring more evenly through the slipper plate giving a more consistant adjustment... So i believe anyway! Hope that helps!

If people would be interested i could look into get some made up...

Q... do you find the cooling fins on the motor in the back up car help as I have heard that if it doesn't have a GREAT seal against the can it can trap heat instead of disperse it

I never noticed the motor getting too hot yet, must be doing something... I will however test with and without and get back to you with my results

got a madmonkey to have a play with, put B4 shocks on, B4 turn buckles, losi rear drive shafts so I can use same wheels as my 22, changed the front axles to B4 so I could use B4 front wheels, changed the screws, as the kit ones were a bit pants. Took it down to the track and was blown away by how good it is!!

yer, had a spair set, used losi bearings in the hubs, just have to shim the shaft on the inside of the hub to make sure you have enough in the drive cup on full droop (or it can come out) , then use assosiated rollpins and the original ansmann wheel addapter, reemed to fit the losi shaft. as i said I didn' think the original parts were sub standard, just want to limit the amount of wheels i need to have as 22 is my main car

I've just ordered my ansmann X2TE, i'm hoping it's a great car to drive on the indoor offroad carpet track that i always go to.
Does anybody know if there are other wheels that fit the ansmann X2TE?

My Monkey as it stands at the minute.

Original bodyshell stickered up. Quite afew blue cars when i first arrived. Monkey sticker covers up the hole i used for handout PT for a couple of weeks . Original wing is trashed after a couple of big crashes so this is the replacement from Eric @ concept

All the electrics and battery pack. New PTX PT in now too

My new shell i am just painting up at the moment. Still got the outer cover on so looks alittle dull

Curious as to why the shocks are on the front? How does that compare to standard?
