Default Which Brushless System? Novak Havoc Pro or Orca?

Which one on these speedo is best, the Orca with a 6.5t are about £132.99 without the data card and a Novak Havoc pro with a 6.5t is slightly more expensive. I understand the orca has a turbo function that needs the data card that is another £40.00 to spend?

Can a Novak ballistic motor take a build up of heat? due to me running a mid mounted xxxcr with a vented shell?

Let me know your views, please.

I feel I need more speed, my current speedo is a LRP SPX zero with a 8.5t limit and I run a 8.5t x12 so the speedo is at its limit, but has never let me down...

I would go with either and Orca VC4, or a Speed Passion LPF.

Buy the best speedo you can afford.

You will probably find that with a top end speedo with the timing advace etc that your current 8.5 will be quick enough.

HobbyWing V2.1 120A esc (follow link in my sig) is the update on the Speed Passion Gt2.0 PRO ... of and it's 2/3rds the price!

As they say buy the best esc you can (doesn't mean the most expensive!!!). HobbyWing motors are soon to be legal if you looking for great budget price motors, Orion will be a bit better but are a bit more expensive.

I love my Orion motors, convinced they are the best but for club use the HobbyWing motors seem good.

Does the Speed Passion LPF have a turbo function or timing advance? I was interested in a fellow racers tekin Rs pro with the turbo function using a 10.5t and his 4wd tamiya was quicker than 4.5t he normally run in it and it run cooler as well.

Hi,

Yes the speed passion lpf does have boost and timing advance. You need a little black box (LCD program box) to do it, but I boosted a friends 10.5 with great results.

Jason, if you are looking at the Q spec Orca then the program cards for that are £14.99 not £40.

I'm assuming he was reffering to the Q spec as he mentioned £132.99 including a motor.
