Default TLR1043 Front King Pin, Threraded, TiNitide

I've just bought the above hop-ups and the diameter of the pins is only 2.4mm whereas the standard king pin is 3.5mm. Surely they cannot be used with so much slop. Am I missing something?

Tony - you are using this to go through the steering blocks from top to bottom aren't you? I mean to replace the top and bottom king pins in the steering blocks and not to replace the king pins that are used to hold the caster block in the wishbone?

I found I actually had to slightly enlarge the holes in my steering blocks where the old king pins had tapped a thread so that the pin could move freely as it is held by the upper and lower lock nuts.

I fitted mine last night and had no problems with slop - quite the opposite in fact.

Woops!!! when I read front king pin I imediately had in mind the wishbone king pin, two of which I've managed to break. As there isn't one in the steering blocks I didn't consider it. Obvious now - stupid me
