Probably best to leave them.

Well.. judging by your efforts on building diffs.

Depends on the material but in the past I have done the following

run a screw through the hole (obviously of a sensible size not a #8 wood screw) to give a thread for the resin to bond to.

next mix up so rapid setting epoxy resin (I've used Araldite rapid which is ok) but let it go off for a couple of minutes.

Then force it through the holes with a syringy (not the needle type, more the sort of thing you get from vets for feeding newborn animals who've lost mum) until it is out of the other side with no voids showing.

Clean of the surfaces ... wait till the glue is 95% cured then clean again with a sharp knife blade as it will have expanded as it sets.

Wait and inspect to make sure there are no voids / cracks in the glue and away you go

it is best to keep things symetrical in the shocks though but this will give you an idea of what you want before making up / having made some specials

Because you will never live it down. Ever. You will eternally be know as unable to build diffs, whether it was your fault or not. Simples as that.
