My kyosho lazer ZX avatar that you can see is the repro body from Jonathan = teambluegroove!

Just an update on my ZX-R.

I have installed new tyres and inserts, overhauled the shocks and tidied up the wiring.

Hopefully this week I'll install the new bearings (I got a set for the ZX-5 from ebay - the blue ones) and have got some new ball ends to go on too.

Will post some pics once that is all sorted. Then it will be just a new body.....kinda want a parma tomcat one but Kamtec website hasn't been updated in a while so the tbg one is looking more appealing.

Just had a chat with Keith re the Tomcat shell and he has said its now available on ebay and should be on his site already. I will be updating him with my painted shell which he will upload onto the site when it arrives in the post. (Sorry Iso I forgot about the ZXR shell so will chase again when I email him this week).

Link to ebay is below and is with rear wing and is value for money. Well worth it. No undertray but fits a ZXR undertray and he is in the process of copying that so should be available soon as well.

Website will be updated shortly with this info.

nope dont forgot the belts, dealt with an friend regarding the belts so he
should have sended them to you but shall ask him and see what happened.

let me know what he have to say about the zxr body/undertray and the gearcover since i sended him an nip gearcover so it wouldnt been to hard to get a mould from that.

I have an racecraft/tech body also but hey it has taken too long .

Keith and I will talk this week but things have been a bit crazy today so didn't get a chance. Still the tomcat shell is now available.

Out of curiosity my ZXS proto that I haven't used, what would you say I would get for it? £750 for or ? I really have got to sell it or strip it down for spares, so if anyone out there is after one of most probably ten ever made now there is an opportunity to get it.

Default Advice please

Am thinking of getting a lazer to race off road at watford or stotfold
Will have to be a second hand 1 as only really got a budget of £100, the rest i have needs to go on electrics
Is there anything i should look out for? as there seems to be a few different versions about, im not using lipo's yet so can't have 1 set up for that & would prefer saddle pack set up to save me having to change my around again
Been 20 odd years since my last Kyosho, a optima mid lwb & have had cat's since then so don't know much about kyosho these days
Any advice would be greatly appreciated & if anyone knows of a car for sale around my budget that would be even better
Cheers guys
Gainsy

Gainsy well i would advise a zxr in any varient but would hope you buy one with alloy pivot wishbone blocks as that is the only item that in the kit that is made of fragile plastic and needs reinforcement. Belts, bodies, chassis and shock towers of all varieties are still available from other manufacturers.
