Default Losi 4wd?

Hi all

Been looking at Losi's 4wd's and can ascertain that there's the xx4, xx4 we, xxx4 and the xxx4 g+.

As far as I can see the xxx4g+ is the current issue (), however that the xx4 and "we" are viewed as being the most competitive out of all of them, with the xxx4 being more viewed as an on road example (was designed with that in mind as such) being why the xx4 is better for racing on off road tracks.

However from reading some for sale ad's on here one person described the xx4 as now a rare car, is this right and that spares for this car would be hard to get hold of? and as a matter of fact are spares easy to get hold of for all the 4wd's?

Hope the question made sense.

Cheers
matt

I've been running a XX4 this season and had no problem getting spares.

Hi Matt,

Andrew from Rennicks Modeltune raced the car for years - so probably your best bet. Of course DMS, JE, your local horizon agent or Losipartshouse will be able to get any of the bits that Andrew doesn't have.

I'd recommend keeping the following light spares package,
Front suspension arms
Front pivot (10 degree)
Front belt (can be used as middle belt)
Spur gear
White gear set (if you run the slipper too loose you can melt these)

And there are some essential hop-ups too;
XXX CR rear end (pivot, arms, hubs)
E-Speed shock tower supports (DMS have these)
E-Speed steering rack
XXX front pivot brace
Schumacher 12.5 degree front uprights
Trinity motor clamp (look for a 2nd hand one on ebay??)

Cool, thanks for this

When the time comes to invest in a 4wd, will be v usefull info and equally v usefull to know that there are many shops out there doing parts readily

(interesting that the back end of CR is a hop up, actually a back end of a cr going on the bay at the mo)
