Default Tekin RS Pro help

Have borrowed a tekin RS pro, wired it up last night and lights 1,2,6,7 are flashing which indicates wrong motor type have checked it's set to brushless, checked wiring and changed the sensor lead, it's a brand new speed passion motor.

Any ideas?

Hey Paul, just double check you have MT set to 1. If you are doing it on the speedo, be careful as sometimes the lights don't quite line up with the label.

You get the motor type error if one of the phases isn't connected properly, so Make sure there isn't a break in the motor wire next to the solder joints, I've seen that a couple of times.

The fact that it's a new motor could indicate that it has a fault, have you tried a different motor?

Yep as Kev said check all wiring. We had a racer on Sunday who's RS Pro did this and he was uninstalling software and putting it back on when he realised one of his motor wires had split.
Good luck with it.

Cheers guys, will check that later, haven't got another motor but will try and borrow one tonight at racing

Wires are brand new and soldering seems pretty good

1,2,6&7 indicate wrong motor type selected. if you can get your hands on a hotwire and plug it into a PC that would be the easier way of seeing what it is set to.

My Tekin RS pro did go back with those symptoms though so check at that first.
If in doubt give RC Disco a ring, those chaps are very helpful.

Cheers
