Default B44.1 Ride Height

Just finished building my new B44.1 to the stock factory settings, i'm totally over the moon with the buggy but have this question. After setting up the collars on the dampers and the shocks mounted on the holes mentioned in the manual the ride height seems extremely high compared to the photo on the box and other pics i've seen in magazines and on the web etc. After winding the collars right up the ride height seems to only drop the front end but keeps the back sticking up n the air.

Can anyone please help me or is this how the chassis is supposed to be?

Thanks in advance for any help

Yeah good guess on that.

The front shock bottoms are offset - bigger (to cope with the angle).
Rear ones are quite shallow.

Are you's guy's meaning the plastic round plate that fits over the shaft/bottom eye thats used to compress the spring? Just cos if so i've checked and this is correct and i've still got too much ride height. The manual reckons about 20mm but mines more like 36mm or so.

This may be a stupid question, but do you have all the electronics installed?

I have all electronics fitted bar the motor and LiPo as i've not bought them as of yet. I never thought to measure the ride height after everythings installed , but will this really give a drop of about 16mm just by installing the motor and LiPo? Seems an awful lot for just 2 components.

Here are some pics just incase I have set something up wrong though.(Sorry bout the quality of the pics, my camera has a flat battery and had to use my mobile phone)

the lipos and motor will probably be your problem as it weights the back end down

I'll give it a measure again once I fit the rest of the electrics. Feel a bit of a plonker now lol

I've got the 2 sets of tires on because I was trying 2 different sets of wheels out to see which I prefered and they just happened to the have those tires on. Good spot by the way

The motor will weigh the front down even more...you will need to wind down the front collars a lot more, this should even things up a bit more. With the cells in the rear, it will even everything up!! Glad we can help

get everything in there and then do your rideheight mate. Also, get yourself the ae ballast weight for in between the lipos. I love my 44.1 straight out of the box plus the weight
i think mk has them in stock

Cheers for the help everyone. I think i'll buy the ballast weight as i'd not thought of that and the extra weight could come in handy.

Thanks
