Default WRCA Trophies (split from cobra thread)

Im confused a little tho, as i believe each entrant to the WRCA winter series has paid £1 per race day towards the WRCA? Im confused because i cant see where that money has gone, you would have presumed it was to cover trophies

Hopefully ill be proven wrong, and that trophies will be awarded. Its the least the WRCA could do, seeing as we have paid towards it.

On a different note, excellent day by the COBRA massive, good track, good company and some damn good racing. Well done guys.

Any idea on overall results?

Well to be fair, although I put together this series I'm not involved in any official capacity with the WRCA so have no idea what was involved in organising the outdoor series.

How many people really want them?
as trophies never crossed my mind (despite my son thinking I am the best driver in the world purely on the basis of me bringing home a trophy from a midwest regional once!)

Andy, there's a difference between jumping and launching a rocketship into the roof of the venue like you were....LOL Some serious big air there, Yee ha.
Used to be your £1 went to the WRCA which was included in your payment when you joined a Welsh club for the year that ran a WRCA meeting which then allowed you to score points in the WRCA championship.
The £1 was for administration and trophies which was a plank of wood with plaques on it at end of season for places 1-10. I early had enough to build a new shed.

It goes without saying IMO, there should have been trophies. Owen shines like christmas tree when he gets a trophy, every single person at the wrca presentation last year is beaming and grinning on each photo alisia took of them recieving a trophy. We had trophies at last years winter round at swnsea!
Paul knight organised them last year but has since stood down.
So will there be trophies for the outdoor season?

I think the only way to find out is to send an email to the committee asking, Dave.

Or is there something better than can be awarded other than dusty hogging mantle monsters?

Apologies for not organising trophies
it was my first try at organising a series and I only took it on as I didn't think we were going to have one otherwise.

You will be pleased to know that I am not organising the outdoor series so obviously I can't answer any questions related to it.

Pete, you've still done a really good job despite any trophies. If it wasn't for you, i doubt we would have had a WRCA indoor series. So for that i, and im sure many others are grateful to you.

Its hard to tell how many trophys are needed for the last round of the chapionship. so i take it thats why none were available for the last round. but im sure the WRCA committiee will sort out the required trophys over the next month. "and please WRCA com, none of those shit little plastic ones"

Thanks for the winter series Pete
Its been just the thing to keep everything buzzing til the summer series.
With entries on the up again the summer series could and should have a damn good turn out so keep that overflow carpark available
Well done

When i asked pete if he would like a go at putting a winter series together in all fairness to him the subject of tropheys wasnt mentioned however, We will be given them as we always do. As i have been ill for a number of weeks and not really in contact with anyone , i didnt get it organised. but will get it sorted in due course just to keep the Pot Hunters happy [lol] and get them to the realative people .
