Just out of interest if there going to be some form of wireless so we can have a look at lap times of people? Would be interesting for those of us only able to make it Friday to see what kind of lap times people are doing on the Thursday?

I'd like to know how slow im going and how much harder i need to work

Cheers

P.s I went to the Petit in Paris, so i know the carpet will have lots and lots of grip Gooooood job!

WIFI and Internet access Answer

We have wifi HOWEVER, it stops working at race meetings, it has done this ever since we opened the door, works fine immediately after the event, or if it is a small event, but any more than 80 people and the thing stops working. we have the cause put down to 2.4ghz transmitters and possibly the microwaves, either way it stops working. Those camping outside overnight should be ok but i'm afraid you are going to be looking at sheets of paper at results on the day :-(. Sorry guys.

I can bring a wireless access point to try if it helps? Everyone would ignore the router's wifi connection and connect through the access point instead.

Cool I'll leave him to it

Need some decent wireless APs in repeater mode maybe? Netgear WG602 are ok in repeater mode and cheap

If there is internet access major firewall mode going to be turned on. Don't want anyone packet sniffing etc. Dirty network (sorry I'll get my coat - LOL)

Wow Haskell's back!

Anyone know when "draft" the heat listings will be published?

They won't be from the looks of it. Practise listing might appear though...

from petitrc.com
Re : Talk PETIT RCcultural RACE 2011
Racing Format

Drivers will be sorted into practice groups based on their claimed ability when they entered. Fastest Drivers will be in the earlier groups. The Trucks will be placed among the earlier groups. Slowest drivers will be in the middle groups. Practice will be timed. After Practice the Heat groups will be made ranked by each driver's best 3 consectuve laps in practice. You will need car numbers on your car during practice so that in the unlikely (LOL) event that you gave us the wrong PT number we can try to correct it. Check the practice group listing (available from Thursday evening in the middle frame) to make sure you gave us the correct number.

The faster drivers will be in the earlier heat groups. Slowest drivers will be in the middle groups. The reason for this is so that the practice A Final can take place while the Finals are being sorted and numbers distributed. We are running a lot of races so we need to save time.

Finals will be sorted by best single time in qualifying, not round points. The 3 leg finals will be scored using the EFRA 2010 rule.

This information will be updated during the event.

I've already offered to bring an AP (WN802T) but didn't get an answer, won't cost the club a penny to borrow...
