Good that you like the car.

My package is lost for more than a week now and the tracking number doesn't work.
Big bummer because I really want to test the car and find a descent set up for EIR.

Fabs is looking into this so hopefully he has good news very soon!

Hey mate,

I still haven't had a reply to my enquiry, so I'll call someone in italy who can go to the post office and ask directly what the heck is going on.

Well you know, on one hand we have a package that's been tracked until it's left italy, and on the other hand the other says it's never arrived in belgium. so either one lies, or it's lost between italy and belgium...

Happens to the best of us, lol... So long as you don't do that at the Petit .

I take that back, if you TQ at the Petit you can mess the finals up

Good news, the lost kit has been sent back to sender, I have received it today. It was sitting in a belgian post office all that time, but I don't know why it hasn't reached its final destination

Hi MCS fans,

Take a look at this, it might interest you or one of your friends.

I will keep looking for more opportunities like that

Another TQ + Win for Craig with the MCS at Cheddertin round 3 today

I believe Nick Caro finally tried the saddle conversion and nearly made it into the A, but was knocked out by Wayne...

Default fitting a pinion < 22T is a problem?

When I want to fit a pinion like 20T or 21T I cannot move
the motor far enough backwards(it hits the gearbox) and therefor the gearmesh is not correct(gap is too big).
At first I thought it was that particular type of motor(novak); but when I tried it with an orion motor it was the same problem...
Has anyone come across this?

Yes i had this problem also ended up using a 7.5 and 8.5 motor witch solved the problem because i had to use a bigger pinion

I use a 10.5 ATM and a 28T-pinion and that is at the other hand... can't go much bigger then that. I once fitted a 29 and that became a very tight fit.

but this is easely corrected by drilling the motor-mounting holes a little bit wider (on the motor-plate)

Well...

First it's the same thing with every car, even on the RB5 you can't run anything smaller than a 22 (same as on the MCS).

On the other hand, if you're having to run such a pinion, then you're most likely using a motor that's way too fast.

For example even with a 6.5 Craig runs a 23T pinion, and Nathan even used a 5.5 in the car running a 22.

So the question is, what motor are you running???

a novak 6.5r, but I guess nowadays with 45c 50c lipo rating you can easily use a 7.5 or 8.5 and with bigger pinion get the exact same results...(and perhaps longer runtimes)

Yeah, I used to run a 6.5 + 20C, now I run 7.5 and occasionally 8.5 with a 45C.

There are other options, for example you could run less timing on the motor, that would allow you to use a bigger pinion, or a bigger rotor.

But either way, if you're having to use a 21 or 20T pinion, then most likely a 7.5T would be more suited to your track.

Another possibility would be to use an AE spur since you can get an 81T, but that would require the use of AE slipper pads.
