Pins don't work at all, yellow minispikes are far better

Track layout was much better this week with lap times going to around 19 - 20 seconds instead of last weeks 15 - 16 seconds. The straight was split which made it much more interesting and the jumps and carpet sections are growing. All they need now are more people to come and have a go
Anyone doing the Saturday winter series should come and have a go next tuesday to see the size of the place and get a feel for it ............ the more the merrier

Can't work out if these are 2 or 4wd cars Paul - grip looks pretty good to say the least! Love the skipping of the bottom corner onto the sweeper lol!

4wd matey, blue/black/white Cat is Lloyd Storey's and the yellow 511 is mine
Corner hopping is a must LOL

Grip is really good with yellow MINISPIKES (old ones), i've used a worn set for the last two weeks and they are still fine so i'll be using them next week too

I've had a couple of people say they don't want to race on the track because it's tarmac and tarmac should only be used for touring cars. I'd love to see a TC5 go round Tuesday's track

The "base" surface is tarmac, granted, but wherever we race has a base surface made up of something i.e. astro, carpet, grass .......... the key to a good track is what else the track offers, such as jumps, raised sections, bumpy sections, varying surfaces etc.

To be fair on the Moto Arena the track is getting better every week as they add more features. Remember it's a massive place and most of us race on tracks less than half this size with far less features. I have no connection at all with the place so for me it doesn't matter if it fails or is a success, it's just somewhere else to race, but if you've got a spare Tuesday evening come and bring your old rubber and have a go, you might be surprised how much you enjoy it ........... it certainly isn't touring car racing

I am with Alec on this one, Mat is doing a great job. Tuesday nights are good fun. The Tar mac is very close grain so the car does not dig inand break.

Lee
You can arrive anytime you like matey, if you want you can help set the track up, your experience would be most welcome i'm sure

The track is normally ready for practice by 6.00.

If you can encourage a few more (Jon, Mark, Hollywood etc) to come along that would be excellent

4wd.... thought they looked pretty planted!

I'd love to give this a try but with me normally finishing work at 6, it makes it rather tight time-wise - might give the Sat meetings a go instead

Thanks Alec - though realistically its going to be about 7 by the time I get to that side of Northampton, so might be too late + it make it a rather hectic day/evening.

Having said that I've got the week after next off work so might be able to make it on that Tues..... the RC10 might get a final blast this year after all!

That is a big improvement on last weeks track.

Glad the yellow worn minis are good tire choice it seems to be a great idea to use them and save money on buying new tires

I have to say the racers in UK are pretty lucky with the amount of tracks open right now!!

Not quite back to good old days when we had tracks/clubs fighting for regionals.

I'll be there this week. I might get the 201 running for the 1st time. I'll see what Lee's running and choose the opposite to avoid being something stupid like 6 laps down.

With it being tarmac and carpet... you guys tried Foams instead of rubber tyres?

Springer has (the cheating B*****D), and was 3 laps a head of me, and I came second, however the week after, Alec was still three laps ahead of me when running rubber, but due to public out cry the foams were destroyed in a university style riot in the Moto-arena car park
