Can´t believe how this shop came across one kit so early. Still a crime that price. Let´s wait for normal prices...

My guess is that he got a sample from the Canadian distributor and decided to try to sell it, instead of using it as a store sample like is intended. Very poor choice.

Does it mean the distributors in each country already got a sample to build for promotion? I don´t think i can hope for that in Austria though....

Is there any chance of a parts lost appearing before the kits? It's a pain to have to get the spares (thinking towers/gearbox cases/gears etc) after the kit arrives, double shipping cost etc!?

exactly what i thought but as it has never been that spares were available before the actual kit i don´t think we can buy spares and the kit both at the same time...

Yes saw that too but the shipping is a bit crazy... or is it brought to my house via horses?

Chaps,

Another seller has listed 2 x TRF502 kits on Ebay; with better photos I've noticed that it comes with a TRF511 body and TRF201 wing set within the kit box!! This kind of makes the 502 into a Frankenstein buggy

I wonder why Tamiya have changed their mind on this release, since cars like the TRF201, TRF511 and DB01R don't include a body+wing.

Wasn't the body and wing included in the US for TRF201? It was in Finland too (was not for sale separately), but it was more of a package deal than a real one box that had everything in it...

I personally think this car should be cheaper as it has less alloy than the we 501 etc hubs gearbox mounting etc etc.

Just a concern, does anyone else feel the same or what is your opinions?

Agreed. Camber link mounts and shock tower mount in plastic is just asking for trouble.

Possibly, but ask Springer, it's possible to bend the alloy and it's much cheaper to replace plastic, especially if they are sensible and use the same parts front and rear like the DB01.

Proof will be whether it's cheese or strong when run in anger, what I'm concerned on is lack of thread on the ball stud/plastic if you use many spacers, plastic definitely is worse than alloy when it's short thread, as I've found on the 201!

Oh Yeah, definitely possible to bend the alloy (twice) LOL

The 502 will definitely be weaker around the gearbox casings where the shock tower bolts but any car with this configuration will be and Dave's right about the concerns with the ballstuds stripping.

So how many of you have them on order then?
