Ceramic diff balls aren't MADE from ceramic, but it is an element added to the steel to make them ultra hard, just like Carbide, just the process is more costly.

well after extensive testing over the weekend (ie aprox 20 packs of cells) the ceramic diff is running silky smooth as if it has just been built so its a big thumbs up from me n stu

I'm using AE thungsten diff balls for several weeks now. Diffs remain very smooth and a lot cheaper than the Kyosho ceramics.

thanks to all who replied. so you know, it only happens on carpet after a big jump.
I'll rebuild both gearboxs and shim as per the manual, it just sounded tight. I'll also check my slipper, Quote:
here is a quick list of the extras/spares I've bought. 1. Steel Hex Screw kit 2. Alloy front brace 3. rear CVDs 4. Assoc. B4 diff balls 5. TI turnbukles 6. Carbon top deck * 7. New shock seals * 8. Assoc. Ariel Tube 9. Fastrax wheel nuts 10. 10 deg blocks Spares to have 1. Wishbones 2. Rear Hubs 3. Shock Caps 4. shock mount holders 5. bevel gears * still to purchase I use Assoc. shock springs at the moment but I've heard there are some new springs coming out soon. Also a friend who owns a model shop says there are some white plastic hinpins ends which are harder which I might get. This is my list and everyone has their own idea of what's needed. Many people recommend B4 spur and slipper bads. Some people say put Assoc. Shocks on. Looking back I should have waited for a Bj4 worlds!!!! ![]() bretts Last edited by bretts; 11-05-2006 at 09:17 PM. |
