Swings and Roundabouts mate, I think it depends on whether you will 'feel' the difference on the track of the Durango, over the B44, and whether the small price increase is worth the cost?
Bear in mind that a lot of people more at club level may have B44's, but look around at your local clubs to see whats popular, and fairly successful. The B44 also shares a lot of spares and parts with the B4/SC10/T4 etc, so parts will more likely to be much easier to get hold of, should your local shop close (something which is becoming more common of late, I am sad to say). I own a B44, and its great, but I am not really into 'bling' and I like the B44 indoors (which is where I run most of the time). The Durango has gear diffs, which can help adjust the handling, and are more bombproof than ball diffs IMO... Also other peeps at my club run B44's, so we can help each other out with spares etc.. HTH a bit Mark

Durango, by far the best car I've had in over 20 years of buggering about with toy cars.
B44, on the other hand, was the worse I've raced. Everyone I know who bought one, has got rid of them. Parts doesn't come into it, both are easy to get hold of, plus the Durango doesn't need much in the way of spares, whereas I carried a hell of alot of bits around for the B44.

I race a B44 on my hometrack and it is awesome. I just ordered a DEX410R and hopefully it will perform at least as good as the B44.
So should you get no help for your decision on this topic do it like i did: buy both ![]() P.S.: So far i only broke a damper piston and a front wishbone so it´s a very tough car IMO. |

Choose Durango. The B44 may be a tank but it handles like one too. The only 4wd I haven owned because I dont like it.
All of these cars I have owned and I list them in the preferred order. 1.Tamiya TRF 511 2.Kyosho Lazer ZX5 FS 3.Durango Dex410 4.Scumacher cat SX. 5. Hot Bodies D4 |

i would go for the durango and my reason is that u have come from a 8th background and the durango is just a small version of a 8th

I would say go and see some half decent drivers at your local club which have the cars in question (so the setup should be sorted) and ask to try them, that way you will know what suits your driving style

With the Durango you need to get your base setup right, once you have that then the car is phenomimal. A lot of people that have post negative things about the car don't know about setups, and most importantly what to do with geared diffs. With a rally cross background I would assume you are already familiar with geared diffs??
I would also recommend you speak to some of the Durango team drivers when at meetings to give you support in finding a setup that works best for you. This year was my first year at 4wd (have only done 2wd for the last few years) and finished 3rd overall in the NE regional series with the dex410R. In my opinion, the choice is simple, durango all the way! Also, if you see either me or my brother craig collinson (team Durango driver) at the track then don't hesitate to pop over and ask for some support
