Help with Hitec HIS-03MK receiver

Yep, still using my Hitec Eclipse Pro Car but I have a problem with one of my Hitec receivers.

It was working fine last summer but has been idle until now..... but now it doesn't work but is doing strange things.

I connect it up to speedo and servo, stick in a crystal (before you ask, yes they are all Hitec crystals and they all work in other receivers) turn on the transmitter then the speedo and......

.....nothing works, the LED flashes back and forth between red and yellow, and the steering servo ticks in time with the flashing LED and the servo clicks on one tooth.

I am using a LRP Sphere TC Spec and this shows a blue LED when turned on which signifies no receiver input.

Can anybody help? Has anybody got any ideas?

Please..........

If it's knackered then I'll bin it but I'm loath to do that if all it needs is a reset or something.
