LRP SXX MkIII with modified motors?

Hi!
Thought I kill two birds with one stone. Bought a LRP sxx mk3 and will put it in my cougar sv and then use it in a 1/12 pan car during winter.
My idea was to run the esc with rather mild settings and not use the "stock spec" settings for that motor. A 7.5 Orion. And then use it as it should be used in the pan car with a 10.5 motor.
My question is. Have I done a not so smart thing? Is a 7.5 too much together with 2s lipo even with mild settings?

I do a similar thing only I run the older Nosram Stock Spec. I use a 7.5t losi motor in my b4 then a 10.5t motor in the touring car with the stock profiles. I've even on occasion ran some timing advance on the 7.5t with no ill affects or hot gear.

Okey, so I am not the only one then.

Anybody else want to have a say in this matter? Anyone with experience with LRP SXX stock spec ESC?

I have an sxx stock spec, and have not been able to use it properly yet.

fitted into car with losi xcelorin 6.5t motor and from stop to mid speed the thing just jumps, stutters and stalls, when it hits higher speeds god it flew.
then i tried an lrp eraser 9.5t motor and every time i hit full throttle the car just stops running.
borrowed an lrp x12 vector 7.5t and the thing is so fast its untrue.

but all this time i am suffering from interference, im running 27mhz am and the interference on some parts of my local track have made it undrivable.

i am going to try an borrow a 2.4ghz unit to see if problems go away.

but i have two other cars one with losi combo and one with team orion esc and losi motor with no interference with my radio gear.

I know what you are talking about. Got the same problem with mine. It is at Lrp now for repair. It acted exactly the same way you describe, right out from the box.
Hope I get a functional one back so I can try what I aimed for.
BTW, I run a Futaba 4PK and still got the problem.

For the moment i have a Speed passion LPF and it is soooooo sloooow. I get past easily on the straight from other guys running 7.5t with Lrp speedos and what not.

doesn't look good for me then as i got mine second hand off a guy on ebay, he said it had only done two races and he is probably right it is mint but unusable.

please keep me updated if you get a good working one back as i will have to see if the guy has got the receipt and warranty card.
