I changed my opinion of the race result tomz, Vettle to win, Hamilton second, the silver arrows look shocking Button not to finish.

Just like to say a big thanks to everyone for looking after me yesterday and a huge sorry for messing up your day. Really embaressed at all the hassle I caused.

Big thanks to Matt Haskell for sorting out my car and taking me home last night, really appreciate it.

Can I borrow the VW EOS then! Swap it for my Leon Cupra

I'd love one of the 3.2V6 EOS.. Others on my list have been the R32 or A3 3.2

I had enough trouble getting it back of Matt yesterday. Still not quite sure how it gained 200 miles on the clock while I was in hospital?

Couldn't afford the 3.2 version mine is the old mans 2.0 diesel. But at least I can get 65 to the gallon!

This reminds me of why I now go racing. While I still (after 20 odd years of doing this) have that competitive spirit, I realized a long time ago that I would never be as good as I would have liked to have been. But that does not matter to me. This, for me anyway, is not all about the racing, it is being with friends, having a laugh, enduring the constant mickey taking and generally having fun, something that has been sadly lacking in the touring car class I have been racing recently. I am humbled by the stream of messages this week offering support, transport to races and general good will as well as the amazing help given by your members on Sunday.
I am still hugely embarrassed by what happened, not something that has ever happened before, and still feel really guilty for causing so much hassle but you have gone a long way to restoring my faith in what club racing is all about. It is not just the racing, it is about the people.

Thanks guys.

Thank you for the kind comments re the club, we the comittee (and racers) have brought in the new timing system and changed the racing format to more familar formats (i.e. BRCA etc) However we still strive to make it a welcoming and enjoyble club.

Look forward to see you back at the track

RE your comments is this also the reason for the influx of touring car drivers recently?

I think there is more than one reason for the influx of TC drivers. The spiralling costs of being competitive, the constant need for newer and more high tech kit is one of them. There are also other reasons.

Love the racing, hate the politics.

hey fella ,ive come back to the forum after some dilemas ,but glad your ok .

I did not realise that the tc class was that bad ,the need for all the latest stuff to be competative........after all i run a cheep buggy with cheep parts [all ive done is ball raced it,and with help of others got it running well ] and with the acception of last sunday where i had huge problems ,im pretty sure i can be competative now .....besides to me its supposed to be fun with giggles and the odd banter.

any way all my problems seem to be fixed ,just looking forward to sunday [hope rain holds off] to see how well it performs
