Come on boys and girlies, Caldicot is a great friendly club, has a great venue (indoor and out) and knowing all the bigger meetings that the club has put on over the years they will lay out a blinding track and make the day great

Get those entries in, dont be shy

As I've just posted on the entry fees topic, all people entering a second class will only be charged
**half price entry for the 2nd class**

ie 1 class = £10, 2 classes = £15

I suspect marshalling would be an issue if you try to do 3 classes!

A general point here (not specifically directed at Owen!) is that whilst I will sort the heats to avoid people driving in a race that they are meant to be marshalling, the responsibility for your marshall point being filled is yours alone!

And don't forget to EMAIL your entries to info [at] caldicotrcracers.co.uk
Including Name, Class, PT number, BRCA number and frequencies

Actually Pete, i think this is a good time to make a request of all the electric drivers attending the Caldicot electric Regional.

In theory each driver should either marshal or make sure someone is marshalling for them if they are running multiple classes and cannot marshal themselves in a heat. And in theory if they dont then they should receive a penalty.

But as we are all trying to move the class on and upwards again, i propose that we ask for volenteers over the PA when and if needed. Im sure we can all help out & marshal for someone else in different heats without having to be asked toooo often - i and a couple of others did it without being asked at both Taly & GNR to help make the marshal numbers up.

All it takes is to just jump over the fence and grab a high-vis if you see the track a little marshal-free and you have 5 minutes to spare to help make the meeting run smoother and help your fellow drivers out...

Does that sound like a compromise ?

And that's exactly what will happen.

But, we don't want to be shouting for volunteer marshalls every heat and you'll be too busy repairing your Pred between rounds to be able to help!
As an alternative, if a driver cannot get someone to marshall for them in the unlikely event that I haven't been able to schedule heats to avoid this problem, then how about I say, Matt, you are in heat 1, please can you marshall heat 3 all day to reallocate the marshalls. This would also help in situations where a heat only has 4 drivers who have to try and marshall the next heat with 10 cars in!

Yes i think that's a damn fine idea Pete, i think everyone would go along with that

And if in the unlikely event there are still not enough marshals for some reason, someone pitching in for a extra heat or two or even just the finals would be ok

And will give me extra Pred repair time
