Default BUGGY RACING AT HINCKLEY CLUB EVERY SATURDAY THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER

Hi all,

Just to remind you Guys......

The HINCKLEY CLUB will be starting their Outdoor Off-Road Summer Series a week this Saturday - 24TH APRIL 2010.
This will then carry on every Saturday throughout the Summer til Saturday 4th September.
Since we started the Buggy Racing again, a couple of Seasons ago, the Club has gone from strength to strength, with us having the privilage to be holding a 2WD & 4WD Mid-West Regional Event during this Season!
The Track at this Venue is ALL Grass, incorporating various Obstacles, including Ramps, Table Top & unique Rumble Strip as well as a 'Dunlop' Style Bridge(with Internal Lap Counting Loop), to give it evenmore of a Racing Experience!
All being well, we should have a more radical design Track Layout, another 2 Ramps & a Corner Table Top for our first Club Meeting(24th April), to make it more Challenging!
Arrival time is 11.15am, Booking In will open around 11.30am & Racing will start around 12.30pm. Race Fee is £6 for Members & £7 for Non Members.
All Classes of Electric are welcome, but the main Classes Raced are :

Retro/Vintage Electric Class(Pre 1995)
2WD 1/10th Electric Buggy Class
4WD 1/10th Electric Buggy Class

There will be 4 Qualifying Rounds(with your best 2 to Count), followed by Finals.

Eric from CONCEPT RACING, will have his Shop there every week, with a good stock of Off-Road Wheels, Tyres & Inserts, as well as all of your other Buggy needs!

There will also be a WEEKLY BBQ + Hot & Cold Drinks.

We need to be packed away by 6PM so racing normally finishes around 5.

Get there from about 11.30 to help build the track with a start time of 1PM

3 rounds and 2 finals

After a long layoff my brothers and I dusted off our old cars and entered the Retro class at Hinckley. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good, and racing was transfered to indoors - but we enjoyed ourselves
Must congratulate the Hinckley members for their hospitality- a club which makes everyone welcome and is about the 'fun' of racing

Practice is available from when the track is built until 12/55 when we try and get racing going.

Normally 12.30 the track is ready.

BBQ is on from about 12.30 too

There is a meeting every saturday

Normally if its raining they have the option to go indoors and race (although last week the hall was closed for exams so the meeting was canceled )

It's always on grass unless it's really wet then it's in the sports hall on carpet and polished floor.
