I do off road now because its 'off road', no matter what jump type is in front of me. I thought the Idea was that you have to adjust your driving for each different track.
I can't comment on the track as I didn't race there so I'm not putting my oppinions on that across.

But I want to do away with the flat stuff, so the flatter grass tracks with the small jumps are less apealing that the multi surface ones with undulations and nice jumps.

I can't wait to get to these kind of tracks no matter what jumps are there.....I'll probably be rrrrrrrubish on them but at least its not flat tarmac.

I've not been to Bury this year and am missing the regional as well as I'm on holiday, but it seems to me that no-one has any right to moan at WoOdy here. There were posts advertising for a work party (by Stu) and on this forum at least the club seems to be kept in the limelight (by Stu). If people are not happy with the features, then they should have gone and done the work to get input into it!
Top marks to WoOdy for all the hard work - that's my view.

I'll look forward to the new chalenge when I race there next

shouldn't these comments be taken constructively, rather than than the insult it seems to be being taken?

everyone here wants to race on the best tracks around the country. changes to existing tracks will be made to improve them. I've never known a change to a track provoke so many comments.

the concern I have is, is it the majority that are concerned about the change, or the minority. if its the first then to what extent does it bother them? enough to put them off going to club meetings, and only go cos they have to when a regional/national is on, or you'd prefer it different but will still go to club meetings anyway.

surely its a goid idea to see how much its bothering everyone.

The National at Bury Metro is five weeks away and from reading this it seems that the triple jump being talked about is ok in the dry but tricky to conquer in the wet.
Hopefully it will be a scoorching HOT weekend with plenty of grip and we won't be talking about the jumps after the event.
I've always been tought that if you don't first succeed TRY,TRY & TRY Again until you get it right.
I have never been to Bury Metro but i am looking forward to racing there and try to get these jumps mastered.

i think all these people have put their points across only because of the wet? as all the people that have raced in the dry have said that there is nothing wrong with it.

You've completely and utterly read the comments on this thread in the wrong light. They are comments to try to give direction of what people would prefer, wether or not it is taken on board is up to the club.

I've gave my view on it, and shall not comment further, as it seems there will be always people who take it the wrong way, thanfully stu has taken everyones comments and has tried to improove the criticisms.

I look forward to coming back to the track soon.

I can see both sides of the arguement regarding the triple. Granted earlier on in the day yesterday I was cursing the triple with many other people but as Woody etc keeps saying with practice it will become comfortable. You just have to be confident and keep the power on backing off will lead to broken shock towers ( ask Gav!) Ive just returned to off road after 5 seasons of TC so this is a whole new thing to me but you just get on with it. Do you think they change the track to suit all at a big race like the cactus classic-No! you just get on with it. At the end of the day everybody is in the same boat so no advantage is to be gained by anyone and becides whats wrong with a bit of home advantage for the national?

The way I see it:
If I vote at election time, I have a right to moan when Labour get in again. if I don't vote when I had the chance, then sobeit.

If majority think changes need to be made, lets get a work party going.

Looks like I've trod on a few toes...
Maybe I spoke out of turn (fair points Paul and Chris) but I believe the general "jist" of the post is accurate.
Anyway, appologies to all

I must add to this when this section was buit Stu didnt want it to be like it is I think he wanted a table top but he was overruled by me and the others that where there doing the work. I helped build this section and I dont like it, but as Stu has already said it has been changed so it should be OK now.

Default New Jumps at Bury

The reports I have heard about the jumps are give room for concern. But all tracks should be built for the off road cars that we all enjoy seeing raced, they should not be built as a obstacle course for the cars. Do not forget that at a National the Race referres can have the course altered if they deem the Track to be Non Raceable.
