Reciever Battery box

Hi All

Just getting back into racing, have just purchased a TA-05 ifs, I am looking to run a brushless motor system. I was wondering, does the reciever need a battery box or will it draw its power from the main LIPO.

you dont need 1 are days.was back when machanical speedos where used you mainly needed tham.

The receiver draws its power from the speed controller.
