Default B44 elecs - what to get?

As my last post said I've just got back into RC and went for a B44 but it's been a while so need a heads-up on what motor, esc, servo and battery packs to get to get it up and running. For now the car will be used on local tracks for practice (poss bit of bashing, only a bit, mind!), no racing yet. Would like to keep the spend down for now and upgrade over time when i've got my head back into it. Any info much appreciated.

Ask at your local track what is used and follow their recommendations. And think ahead in your purchases... You might get back into racing faster than you thought... I did...

some lipo from HK and a ezrun brushless would get you started quickly without much cost. should be able to pickup those 2 for <£100

If your wanting to compete, get the Speed Passion stuff. Great IMO!
The ezrun stuff is basically the same, just rebadged, but I know the specs aren't quite upto scratch as the SP stuff.

I use the SP GT 2.0 LPF (cheaper) speedo with a 7.5 motor indoors. Its good.

Happy hunting. Oh and check the height of any lipo's you buy, as they will need to clear the top deck. I use vampires 30C 4400mAh in my B44, which are good.

Thanks for all the info. Now got a good idea what to go for on the motor and LiPo's front but what's the word on the best budget servo's out there, the B44 kit doesn't come with them right?

Default Stuff to run

Pretty much anything that you want

Quite roomy compared to others.

Battery - saddles any - orion, lrp, nosram, vampire etc
Motor - 6.5 any make
Servo - any no restrictions
Speedo - lrp or nosram as these fit behind the servo or on the opposite side in front of motor

After digesting all the above and talking to a few very knowledgeable folk I've narrowed the Motor/ESC list down to the following within my limited budget. I'm doing off-road but not looking to compete yet, just practice and bash......would appreciate any thoughts or experience of any of these motors/ESC's and which one is the best vfm......(apologies for the insane list)

As ever, any info at all to a noob very much appreciated.

All the speedos in your list will move your car but won't take you very far if you want to race at some point.

Even if the reputation isn't great the pick of your list in my opinion would be the Losi combo.

While looking through your list and checking out some other stuff I came across this --> http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.ph...n&ItemID=34311

Seems to be within your budget and I've heard good things about the speedo and I liked the motor when I last ran one.

Another option would be to pick up a decent second-hand combo from one of the ones that always come up on oople. You ought to be able to pick up an LRP Sphere competition TC-Spec or 2007 spec or a Speed Passion GT or LPF for something like 50-70 quid and pair that with a used LRP or Speed Passion motor for 25-40 quid. Most guys on here won't sell you tat because they like coming here

Keep in mind that anything from HK is destined for the bin if it goes wrong as warranty is a nightmare to go through and you might get stung for customs and parcelforce charges on top of the buying price.
