Im in the same boat, I sold my old 2wd (probably a mistake in hindsight) and missed the first regional and now maybe the second due to having no car, Im not having a go at Schumi, I have no doubt they're doing everything they can... Would be nice to get an official response from somewhere though....

From what I've heard SX2 is due in 3 weeks. I have a pre order and was phoned yesterday with an up date on the delay...

I would love to support a British company but the customer service and arrogance is pushing me away.

This is not the Schumacher of the 1980's, more the pity
I disagree, I live in Canada and always receive any parts orders within 5 days, something that no other company I've ordered from has done, not even from their now closed USA branch. So saying that service is not there is a little off, service has never been better. Again this is a newly developed product, and being a manufacturer myself, 3 weeks delay is nothing at all, if anything its normal.

Can you not borrow a car?

I haven't raced 2WD since Jan due to a car not being ready due to selling some stuff in prep for the SV. So I'm running the SX is running at the mo.

Customer service covers many areas, again my beef is with a manufacturer not giving official updates on their products. If I treated my customers like this I would be out of business...

I gave a little update a page or so back. The problem is it is a very complicated situation and the honest answer is we really don't know ourselves, we can give a best estimate but that's all.
We try to be fair with everybody and believe me we would love everyone to have the cars like yesterday, but unfortunately that can't happen right now.
Rest assured we are working very hard to get cars to our loyal customers (and friends) as soon as we can.

So can you give us this estimate? When do you expect to ship the SV & SX2 to paying customers?

Just sounds like the fiasco with the Mi4 upon release.

Schumacher are a great company... great service and I know they look after their team, their drivers and of course their loyal customers.

However the problem is this. They spent too much time hiping up this car and getting the word out of its development... they didn't spend enough time actually on the car itself, making sure they can actually deliver.

Why didn't they make sure the car was gonna happen, and then hold back the release date slightly so that they can spend time hiping the car, testing and ironing out any problems before the final release of the car. That way they are prepared, and the loyal customers get the great service and great products that we all know Schumacher 'can' provide.

Instead, everybody is sat waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and maybe waiting alittle bit longer... and then, as per previous threads, they ask you to wait just a wee bit longer. All the time, customers are missing out on racing events, regionals etc... and are becoming increasing fed up with schumacher. Many are looking to buy a different car... what choice do we have if we want to race???

Sounds like a lack of business planning from Schumacher thats to blame for this, not any 3rd party. "A BAD WORKMAN ALWAYS BLAMES ITS TOOLS" seems appropriate right now - Schumacher... stop blaming others and own up to your own mistakes.

I was really hoping to get one of these cars as the SV's i've seen so far have been stunning - one of my mates is a team driver and has got his Cougar already and its amazing. But I'm faced with having to stay with my B4 and spend money on sprusing it up, replacing the worn bits and run it for another season.

Very frustrating. Come on Schumacher, sort it out!

Jon!

Unfortunately, they have missed the deadline for customers to have a car for the start of the nationals, I am not doing any, but our regionals are starting soon, so what do I do, buy a B4 and slap a known setup on it, or wait for the SV.

If there was enough time to test, I would wait for the SV, but I don't have time to test the normal/reversed front wishbone layout, forward or rearward rear shocks, internal ratios etc. I just wish that Schumacher had given a pessimistic deadline rather than constantly putting it back.

I know Schumacher are a good company and what not, and was looking forward to a new Cougar, but the clocks almost out for waiting.

Jon, you have hit the nail on the head!

Hopefully this will be a wake up call for them, I have been a customer since the 80's I want them to do well.

Hopefully the MD will wake from his reality distortion field and kick some butts.

Does anyone know if the Pro CV kit will come with wheels? I'm not fussed about tyres, as I bought some today, but wanted to check as I'm not sure what the fitment is for the front wheels. I apologise if this has been answered before! lol!
